Dear family & friends,

As we are preparing for our spring trip we would love to share the testimonies as well as challenges we have encountered so that you can stand with us in thanksgiving and prayer.

As I was applying for Hope’s passport I discovered there was a spelling mistake on her birth certificate. After sending the papers off for correction to Honolulu we did not get a reply. It took a good 3 weeks before Jackson was able to get a hold of them on the phone and then it took another week or two before we got the amendment made and her birth certificate arrived. The next challenge was the passport that we needed to request for her. Normally this process takes 6 weeks, but we only had 6 weeks to get both her passport as well as her visa done!

So we called the post office and they said they could expedite the passport for 2 weeks, but that it would cost 60 dollars extra on top of the passport fee. We wanted to make an appointment, but they said they were full of appointments for the next weeks! So they suggested we go up the hill to a smaller town where they also have a post office. We went there and the lady said that not only could she do the passport in 1 week, but that she wouldn’t charge us any extra money!!! And it arrived! It only took 1 week just like she said. That was the first miracle.

The next challenge was to apply for a Cameroon visa for both Hope and myself. We sent off all the paperwork and prayed for a speedy process. The amazing thing is that we received our visa’s back within 10 days!!! So God is great and we thank you so much for praying with us in this regard.

So we have our passports ready, our visa for our first destination is sorted out, I have started sorting out our stuff, the next thing will be our plane tickets. We are planning to travel April 2nd, which is in 6 days time! We checked the ticket prices and right now they are 5950 USD for the 3 of us. We currently have received 56% of this amount already. So please pray with us for the remaining finances to be able to travel next week!

* Good health as we stay in Africa and the Netherlands
* Safe and pleasant journey, especially for baby Hope for whom it will be the first time in the airplane
* A fruitful time with our family and friends in Cameroon, Nigeria and Holland
* A time of refreshment as this will be our first time home in 2 years!!
